Furniture Collections & House Clearances

Let us take your old furniture off your hands!

Our trusty team offer free furniture pick ups and house clearances. All items we collect are sold in our vintage emporiums or online, with 100% of the profit going towards supporting our projects in Europe and the Middle East.

Furniture pick-ups are available within a 10 mile radius of our Tunbridge Wells and Maidstone stores.

For house clearances, we will consider any address in the UK. Use the online booking system below, and we’ll call you for more details.

Due to staff shortages, we can only accept items transportable by one person using a trolley.

  • Antiques, collectibles, vintage items

  • Small side tables and cabinets

  • Small/ light bookcases

  • Small/ light wardrobes

  • Bedroom furniture (except beds)

  • Small/ light desks/ bureau

  • Small/ light sideboards

  • Clothes, bric-a-brac, household item, lamps

  • Bed frames and mattresses (including cots and children’s beds)

  • Sofas and arm chairs

  • Any upholstered items which are stained, torn, marked or missing their fire safety label

  • TV stands

  • Large wall units

  • Dining tables and chairs

  • Toys

  • Dismantled items (we like to collect them in one piece and will dismantle ourselves if necessary)

  • White goods

  • Garden/conservatory furniture

  • Pianos*

Please bear in mind that all items collected need to be of saleable quality; they should not be scuffed, damaged, torn or stained. Any items not suitable for sale by Refugease or included on the ‘No thank you’ list above will be declined by the van drivers at the point of collection.

Please make sure items are in one piece and ready for collection. We will dismantle if necessary.

Due to regulations, we can only accept upholstered furniture if they have the fire safety label in tact. Please ensure no rips in the fabric.
